Snowshoeing is the best way to see Rocky Mountain National Park in the winter. It is a lot like day hiking . . . only in a bunch of snow. If you have never snowshoed before, it is really not as difficult as you may think. If you can walk, you can snowshoe! The added surface area of the snowshoes keeps you from sinking down in the snow, while the crampon bottoms give you firm traction even on the iciest of surfaces.
Our snowshoeing trips can be designed based on your ability and desires - including your departure time. Snowshoes and poles are included in the price of the guided tour. Snowshoeing is best from when the snow pack builds up in November until typically mid-May. March and April are traditionally our snowiest months.
Some of our most popular snowshoe destinations in Rocky Mountain National Park include:
Emerald Lake
Mills Lake
Loch Vale
Fern Lake
Hidden Valley
Ouzel Lake
Lawn Lake

Rates for snowshoeing trips start at $50 per person.
Rates vary depending on the length and difficulty of the showshoeing trip. Please contact us for additional rate information.
Fifty percent deposit reserves your trip. Balance is due on or before departure. Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance for a refund.
Departure times will be determined by you and your guide and can be scheduled to accomodate most people - whether you are an early riser or not! We ask that you provide your own transportation. If this is a problem, please let us know and we will try to make arrangements.
