There is no better way to experience Rocky Mountain National Park than on an overnight backpacking trip. A day hike can lead you to some spectacular views, but after setting up camp in the high country of the Rocky Mountains, a night under the stars will never be the same!
When you book a backcountry trip with Estes Adventures the owner, Michael Lyon, will be your guide. Michael has thousands of backpacking miles under his belt (or boots as the case may be) and an intimate knowledge of Rocky Mountain National Park. Favorite destinations include overnight trips across the Continental Divide, usually via Flattop Mountain or the Boulder Grand Pass, and various high mountain lakes - Thunder, Fern, Pear and Haynach to mention a few - for some of the greatest fly fishing anywhere.
Rocky Mountain National Park offers over 350 miles of trails winding through various ecosystems and dramatic scenery. With all these choices we can certainly plan a trip you will remember for years to come.

Fifty percent deposit reserves your trip. Balance is due on or before departure. Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance for a refund.
Trip prices include all backcountry permits. Departure times can typically be scheduled to accommodate your needs. We ask that you provide your own transportation. If this is a problem, please let us know and we will try to make arrangements.
Take a look the Backpacking Checklist provided by Rocky Mountain National Park. Most equipment - backpack, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, tent, etc. - is available for rental at very reasonable prices. Please let us know your specific needs at least three days in advance to your trip.
